The Dead Sea Scrolls

We’ve all heard of them but what do we really know? In this
class, we’ll discuss the very latest research on the scrolls
themselves and the nearby site of Qumran. Among the topics will be:
how the scrolls were discovered, the controversies and intrigues surrounding
them, competing hypotheses regarding the nature of Qumran, and other
fascinating questions both archaeological and historical. Bring your
